Pongo, Ranch Foreman
I boarded my horses at a ranch called Bella Vista, and every evening I would see the owners, Carlo and Evelyn, survey the ranch from their golf cart. It was very seldom that I would see Pongo unless he were on some errand. However, he would always show up while carrots were being sorted! He would patiently stand by waiting for a choice piece. Then, off he would go to relish the prize.
After Evelyn passed away, I could always count on Pongo to be in Evelyn's seat to patrol the ranch with Carlo. There they were, side by side, two elderly gentlemen seeking each other's company and making their rounds of the ranch at sunset.
